Covent Garden on Wednesday ... Neal's Yard is an awesome place.  Stopped by Neal's Yard Dairy (cheese heaven!) to sample and buy a few pieces.  Yesterday we stopped by Victoria & Albert Museum and saw some great renaissance, baroque and gothic architecture and paintings ...

Pictures of the flat to come.  Zoe is adjusting well.  We get a lot of light and Zoe loves to sunbathe in it :) We also found a great ice cream place in Turnham Green, a short walk from where we live.  We also walked over the London Bridge and explored the surrounding areas ...

Views off of London Bridge

The Old Operating Theatre.  It's housed in St. Thomas Church near London Bridge, which was first a church, then an apothecary and hospital/ER for the poor and women, then a theatre.  Very bizarre and cool.  Check it out: http://www.thegarret.org.uk/

Metal sculpture in foyer of St. Thomas/Old Operating Theatre.  You may not be able to see it, but the skull is made up of operating tools, saws, knives, scalpels ... Victorian surgery at its best!

Walked a lot today, around Chiswick, Hammersmith, West Kensington, Fulham Broadway.  Here are some pictures ...

We moved today from Willesden to Chiswick today - approx a 45 min tube ride between the two.  We are now living in West London, which is a bit more suburban.  Provided below are a few pictures of our travels, which simply consisted of walking through our neighborhood. We really like it ...

Feels like Jersey ... the London version of a bodega!

Aerial view of our area of Chiswick.

A local artist created this mosaic on the back and front of her house.  Apparently some neighbors aren't thrilled, but we like it.

Zoe getting used to the new neighborhood and its delicious sticks.

Reminds me of my grandmother Mami's garden in Levens, France ... roses were everywhere.

It has been sometime since we last blogged so here are some of our updates...

Matt went to the Aegon Championships at The Queen's Club :

http://queensclub.co.uk/news_and_events/major_tournaments/AEGON_championships

It was an absolute dream come true ... I had never seen a match on grass, let alone at such a small, intimate venue.  It'll be something I remember forever.  I saw the Bryan brothers, Nalbandian, Cilic, Malisse, and one of my favorites Nicolas Mahut.  And I had the cheapest meal on the menu which was prosciutto parma, buffalo mozzarella, rocket and sun dried tomatoes!

Finally put a deposit down on a cute garden flat in Chiswick.  Moving in this Saturday if all goes well ... looking forward to it! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiswick

Been checking out the local pubs, walking around a lot, and went to the Whitfield Fine Art Gallery that housed beautiful old masters from 15th - 18th centuries, including some Caravaggio-influenced pieces [www.whitfieldfineart.com/ - check out "Caravaggio's Eye"].  It was a small gallery and we were the only ones there, so we had a nice private tour :)

Went to Tate Modern today - great!!! Pictures below... but first, breakfast of eggs benedict at our new favorite place, The Queensbury Deli

Love him.
The skull is from the 18th century, of a man in his 30s, and is a platinum cast set with over 8,000 flawless diamonds. Check out his website (he says it "acts as a reminder that our existence on earth is transient")
